The Common Training for DPRV Personnel course will provide DPRV personnel with a comprehensive and standardized set of requirements for the DPRV process. This course is designed to cover the key elements of the process along with a detailed explanation of DPRV over-check activities. Beginning with the role and responsibility of DPRV personnel and its importance to flight safety, the instructors will guide participants through the various DPRV activities including a review of documentation, visual inspection, dimensional over-check, part marking and serialization, and release documentation requirements. In addition to attending and participating in the full three days, attendees must take pass a comprehensive learning assessment to successfully complete this course.

This credentialing course is intended, as stated in AS13001A, to meet a common standard of knowledge. The course is required for existing and newly identified DPRV personnel within aerospace supplier organizations that have been identified and approved as operating a DPRV process as a delegated activity.

The requirements to successfully complete the course are:
  • Attendance for the duration of the course
  • Participation in classroom exercises
  • Obtain a score of 70% or greater on the end-of-course learning assessment (exam)

Yes. If you fail to obtain a 70% score on the final learning assessment, you will be offered the opportunity to take a retake assessment. This will generally be offered once everyone has departed and after you have had an opportunity to review your classroom materials and ask questions.

Yes, you can contact the administrators at Probitas Authentication. Each appeal will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

The course is three days in duration. The course is held at several locations worldwide. Course dates and locations.

Register for a course. Once you identify a class that works for you, click on the Register button to begin the registration process.

Yes. The minimum class size is determined by class location. In most cases the maximum class size is 30 participants.

If you want to register for a class that is full, you can be placed on a “waitlist” for that class. You will then be contacted if an individual cancels and a seat becomes available.

Every attempt will be made to run scheduled classes. However, circumstances arise that may require the cancellation of a scheduled class. If a class cancels, we will contact you to transfer your registration to your next preferred class.

Yes. Generally speaking, if you have a minimum of 7 or so that need the training, it may be an expense savings for you to have an instructor present the course at your facility. Yes, you might want to consider the benefits of hosting a class at your facility. This can be an expense saving opportunity if you have multiple individuals that require training. In a “Hosted Class” scenario, the training provider will publicize a public enrollment class at your facility beginning on a predetermined date. Then, individuals from other suppliers would be able to register for the class and attend it at your facility.

Prior to attending the course, you are not required to create an account. However, you are welcome, at any time, to create your Probitas Authentication account and select your delegating organizations.

For most classes you will be eligible for 2.0 Continuing Education Units at the completion of all course contact hours and successfully passing the learning assessment. There are many IACET requirements that must be met and there may be an occasion when participants in a class may not be eligible for CEUs. If you have questions regarding the availability of CEUs for a particular class, please contact SAE International Customer Service at 1-877-606-7323, or email your questions to CustomerService@sae.org.

An electronic copy of the certificate will be uploaded to your Probitas Authentication account. The issuance of certificates generally takes approximately 2 weeks.

Your certificate will be valid for three years following the date of your class.

Before your certificate expires, you will need to successfully complete a re-certification course prior to your expiration date. The Aerospace Engine Supplier Group (AESQ), along with the G22 Aerospace Committee Working Group responsible for oversight of the Common Training program, has determined that individuals seeking re-certification at the end of their 3 year certification cycle are to complete the revised Common Training for DPRV Personnel classroom course. Information on the schedule of classes. This course is available as a classroom course only.

You will receive an email from Probitas Authentication 1 year prior to the expiration of your certificate. In this email, you will be provided information to begin the re-certification process. Periodic reminder emails will also be sent to you as you get closer to your expiration date.
